On a peninsula on the Sambre River in Liège, a musical high mass breaks out every year in July. Les Ardentes festival was created in 2006 by Fabrice Lamproye and Gaëtan Servais and has grown into a four-day event with 70,000 visitors each year. Les Ardentes translates as “the fiery ones” and this title fits perfectly with the atmosphere of this wild dance festival under a bright summer sun. The largest festival in Liege and the surrounding area combines an open-air main stage with a smaller open-air dance stage and two smaller indoor venues. Block the date of Les Ardentes in your diary if you fancy an iconic festival to celebrate the start of summer!
