What started as a small party in the woods, it is now the oldest and one of the leading reggae festivals in the world. Every summer, more than 45,000 reggae, dancehall and dubstep fans come to hang and skank at this summer reggae festival.

The festival originated as an outdoor reggae party in 1978. Three years later, the very first live concert was held on the festival grounds. Every year the number of visitors grew. The emphasis shifted more and more to live performances and big names from Jamaica were flown in for the festival. In barely five years, the audience increased tenfold.

Line-up

The biggest reggae artists in the world love to come to Reggae Geel. In the course of history, Black Uhuru, Shaggy, Damian Marley, Super Cat, Buju Banton, Agent Sasco, Shabba Ranks, Anthony B, Maxi Priest, Jah Cure, Chronixx, and so many more have been on the main stage.

In addition to the mainstage, there are other stages with specific genres. In the Bounce Dancehall, you’ll see big and small toasters at work on their turntables.

If you prefer to crack a deep bass note you can do so in the 18 inch Corner. In a sublime location among the trees gather the pounding sound systems. This is an absolute must for Reggae Geel.

What more could a person want? Maybe a dash of ska? Tallawah is the place to go for that.

Reggae Geel actually starts already on Thursday with a “camping pre-party”. In 2019, 2,700 campers attended that first edition of the pre-party.

You can only reserve a place on the campsite with a FestiTent or Festipi. We make sure your tent is ready for you on the campsite of Reggae Geel. The only thing you need to bring is your own fun kit and Jamaica flag!

Our FestiTent village is located on a premium site at the Reggae Geel campground. The village is open to anyone with a camping ticket. Your friends who may not have a FestiTent are always free to visit you.

The FestiTent reception is open 24/24 so that we can help you quickly in case of problems.

What do you pay for the campsite?

For the campsites you pay €20 per person. You can buy your ticket for the campsite online or on site.

Free garbage bags are distributed, please use them.

Where can you have breakfast?

A good breakfast is also part of a nice festival. This year, the ‘One Love café’ at the camping meadow will again feature a large breakfast tent where you can put together your own breakfast from fresh pistolets, delicious coffee cakes, fresh fruit, yoghurt, … You choose what you like and pay per item.

Would you like bacon with egg and bread? No problem, it will be freshly baked for you.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 to 12:00 you can come and have breakfast in the breakfast tent on the camping meadow.

FestiTent voucher

After your booking you will receive an email as payment confirmation. Our Guest Support will check and confirm your booking. You will then receive an email with your FestiTent voucher. This voucher only gives you access to your FestiTent, not to the festival or the campsite. The entrance ticket to the campsite must be purchased separately in the ticket shop of the festival.

Is your spam filter stronger than our vouchers? No problem, you can download your voucher straight from the FestiTent Guest Center.

A few days before you travel to the festival, you will receive an email from us with additional information about the location and check-in.

Check-In

After entering the campsite, proceed to the FestiTent reception. Our hosts will be waiting for you and guide you to your FestiTent. You can check in by handing in your voucher. If you have lost your voucher (your dog ate it, your printer ran out of ink just when you tried to print it or your phone ran out of power) we will find your name in our check-in system. No worries! During the check-in we will check if your FestiTent is damage free and fill in a check-in form together.

Check-Out

Come over to the FestiTent reception when you want to check out. We will check together if your FestiTent was not damaged during the weekend. If everything is ok, your deposit will be refunded the day after. From then it’s out of our hands. Depending on your payment method it can take several weeks before you will see it appear on your account.
