Solar weekend is a four-day funky kitch festival where anything goes. Dancing, partying, bantering and drinking in the sun. All this with your feet on the beach of the Maasplassen in recreation area De Weerd near Roermond.

Music at Solar Weekend

At the most creative festival in the Netherlands you will find a mishmash of music styles. A diverse program with both pop music, house, techno, rap, dubstep, schlager etc. Lose all your dignity to Stick your hands in the air on the mainstage, roar along loudly in the schlager tent, go stomping putts in the Solar Techno Tent or twerk your booty in the Container Compound.

Art and entertainment

By the way, there is so much more to experience at Solar Weekend Festival than just music! In this playground for adults, artists and handymen provide artistic installations and beautiful buildings everywhere. Rather roll up your sleeves yourself? Then go and make a work of art yourself.

Rather not finger-paint or weave dream catchers? Shove a hamburger down your throat while spinning on the merry-go-round or empty three beers while skipping rope. Above all, don’t hold back. Cosy rancidity is an appropriate label for Solar Weekend.

Furthermore, there is the comical theater if you are in the mood for madness and culture and of course the legendary water pistol fight takes place every year.

Coming from far away or not feeling like going home? Then you can stay at the Solar Campsite. This campground is not just for showering and sleeping, this is a real playground for adults. There are countless games and activities to enjoy.

Don’t feel like lugging all your camping gear around? Then book a FestiTent!

You don’t have to fight for a spot, because your ready-made tent is ready for you. We set everything up in advance, so you can come to the Solar Camping without any problems.

Our FestiTent village is located at the Solar Weekend campsite, which is located next to the festival. It’s only a 5-10 min walk from the festival entrance to the FestiTent Village. The village is open for all campers so your friends who might have no FestiTent are free to come over and visit you at all times.

Opening hours camping Solar Weekend

Open from Thursday 03 August at 14:00 until Monday 07 August at 12:00. Of course there are sanitary facilities on the grounds. In total there are three different shower zones and four different toilet zones.

Even if you can’t check in until later (some people have to work, too), we’ll provide a great camping spot!

FestiTent voucher

After your booking you will receive an email as payment confirmation. Our Guest Support will check and confirm your booking. You will then receive an email with your FestiTent voucher. This voucher only gives you access to your FestiTent, not to the festival or the campsite. The entrance ticket to the campsite must be purchased separately in the ticket shop of the festival.

Is your spam filter stronger than our vouchers? No problem, you can download your voucher straight from the FestiTent Guest Center.

A few days before you travel to the festival, you will receive an email from us with additional information about the location and check-in.

Check-In

After entering the campsite, proceed to the FestiTent reception. Our hosts will be waiting for you and guide you to your FestiTent. You can check in by handing in your voucher. If you have lost your voucher (your dog ate it, your printer ran out of ink just when you tried to print it or your phone ran out of power) we will find your name in our check-in system. No worries! During the check-in we will check if your FestiTent is damage free and fill in a check-in form together.

Check-Out

Come over to the FestiTent reception when you want to check out. We will check together if your FestiTent was not damaged during the weekend. If everything is ok, your deposit will be refunded the day after. From then it’s out of our hands. Depending on your payment method it can take several weeks before you will see it appear on your account.
