Since time immemorial, Bospop festival has been referred to as one of the most enjoyable festivals in the Netherlands. The rich history of Bospop goes all the way back to 1980, when the first edition was put together by a bunch of young people from the neighbourhood. In 2022, after a few years’ delay due to the nasty COVID virus, they can finally celebrate their well-deserved 40th anniversary. One does not bend old trees!

Back to the future

Every year, some 50,000 visitors come to enjoy the nostalgia of the tunes of hit groups from the 80s and 90s. Bospop is a real musical back-to-the-future trip through the classic rock, hard rock, progressive rock and blues genres. Check this list of legendary names that have already been on Bospops’ stage: Sting, Santana, Deep Purple, Neil Young, Simple Minds, ZZ-TOP, INXS, Toto, UB40, Alice Cooper, Steve Lukather, Status Quo, Bryan Adams, Golden Earring, Iron Maiden, Motörhead, Joe Cocker, John Fogerty, Dreamtheater and many more.

Bospop festival lasts two to three days (depending on which edition) and has a main stage and a tent stage. In addition to the festival site, you will find a festival campsite, a night café and an atmospheric festival market. Since 2019, Bospop has been rocking the Event Terrain A2 Weert Noord between Eindhovenseweg and Stienestraat in Weert. For a long time the festival was held at sports park Boshoven in the Boshoven district of Weert. Hence the name Bospop!

When the last artists of the day lay down their guitars, you and your friends can still dive into the Bospop pub to continue eating and drinking. We’re not going home yet, not by a long shot! To fully enjoy all the days of the Bospop festival, stay the night at the campsite.

Opening hours & amenities

A camping ticket gives access to the Bospop campsites from Thursday 6 July at 2 p.m. until Monday 10 July at noon.

The campsite has flush toilets, sinks and showers with hot water. These facilities are free to use 24 hours a day. Only the hot showers cost one consumption voucher per turn.

There are other possibilities to stay overnight at Bospop. You can traditionally bring your own tent, set it up, clean it, take it down, lug it home or park your camper (if you have one).

FestiTent voucher

After your booking you will receive an email as payment confirmation. Our Guest Support will check and confirm your booking. You will then receive an email with your FestiTent voucher. This voucher only gives you access to your FestiTent, not to the festival or the campsite. The entrance ticket to the campsite must be purchased separately in the ticket shop of the festival.

Is your spam filter stronger than our vouchers? No problem, you can download your voucher straight from the FestiTent Guest Center.

A few days before you travel to the festival, you will receive an email from us with additional information about the location and check-in.

Check-In

After entering the campsite, proceed to the FestiTent reception. Our hosts will be waiting for you and guide you to your FestiTent. You can check in by handing in your voucher. If you have lost your voucher (your dog ate it, your printer ran out of ink just when you tried to print it or your phone ran out of power) we will find your name in our check-in system. No worries! During the check-in we will check if your FestiTent is damage free and fill in a check-in form together.

Check-Out

Come over to the FestiTent reception when you want to check out. We will check together if your FestiTent was not damaged during the weekend. If everything is ok, your deposit will be refunded the day after. From then it’s out of our hands. Depending on your payment method it can take several weeks before you will see it appear on your account.
